This paper presents and analyzes a novel fossil-fuel–free trans-critical energy storage system that uses CO2 as the working fluid in a closed loop shuttled between two saline aquifers or caverns at different depths: one a low-pressure reservoir and the other a high-pressure reservoir. Thermal energy storage and a heat pump are adopted to eliminate the need for external natural gas for heating the CO2 entering the energy recovery turbines. We carefully analyze the energy storage and recovery processes to reveal the actual efficiency of the system. We also highlight thermodynamic and sensitivity analyses of the performance of this fossil-fuel–free trans-critical energy storage system based on a steady-state mathematical method. It is found that the fossil-fuel–free trans-critical CO2 energy storage system has good comprehensive thermodynamic performance. The exergy efficiency, round-trip efficiency, and energy storage efficiency are 67.89%, 66%, and 58.41%, and the energy generated of per unit storage volume is 2.12 kW·h/m3, and the main contribution to exergy destruction is the turbine reheater, from which we can quantify how performance can be improved. Here, we demonstrates the fabrication of binder free and very efficient supercapacitor electrode based on tungsten nitride (W2N) thin film on stainless steel (SS) substrate using reactive sputtering technique. W2N thin film as a working electrode exhibits high specific capacitance (163 F g−1 at 0.5 mA cm−2 in 1 M H2SO4) along with excellent cycling stability. The binder free symmetric supercapacitor (W2N||W2N) device delivers a high specific capacitance (80 Fg-1) and long life span (90.46% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles) along with high energy (12.92 Whkg−1) and power (∼674 kWkg−1 at 9.36 Whkg−1) densities. Operational rules and control strategies of the chemically recuperated gas turbine (CRGT) in the marine propulsion are investigated in this paper. The Minimization of Gibbs free energy method is used to calculate the diesel-steam reforming reaction which products synthetic hydrogen rich fuels, and a universal model of the chemical regenerator which is easily applied to different application environments is created. The hydrogen production and hydrogen molar fraction are investigated to verify that the CRGT improve the combustion performances under low working conditions. Off-design calculations are performed to derive proper operational rules, and transient calculations are performed to investigate the best control strategies for the systems. The modelling approach of the chemical regenerator can be generally used in the chemically recuperated gas turbine. The elaborate operational rules can greatly improve the thermal efficiencies under every working condition. Graded structures of aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO) multilayered thin film were prepared on quartz glass substrate by sol-gel process, and then sequentially annealed by raped thermal annealing(RTA) and UV laser annealing technologies for transparent conducting oxide (TCO) applications. Different Al mol% (0, 0.17, 0.33,0.5, 0.66, 0.83, 1) doped ZnO graded structures of multilayer thin films were prepared to optimize the lattice parameter to reduce stress, and then the annealing processes were sequentially performed. Introducing graded multilayered thin films, reduced the stress between the layers. The AZO graded structures of multilayer thin films were annealed by RTA followed by a 350 nm nanosecond pulsed UV laser annealing method. The graded structures of multilayered AZO thin films were investigated and analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), four-point probe, and UV–vis spectrophotometer, respectively. These results show that multilayered graded thin films were well grown with decreased stress, and well crystallized along the c-axis. The optical transmittance of the films is around 94.8% at 400–800 nm wavelength, and the energy band-gap is around 3.27 eV, respectively. The sheet resistance value of 13.2 kΩ/sq shows a 30% improvement. 相似文献
